One of my most exciting experiences with dance was being lucky enough to be sent to take photos when Katherine Dunham went to East Palo Alto, California to lead a workshop with a gymnasium full of dancers. After several series of cross-gym exercises, a group of young people performed for Katherine Dunham. As the music whirled and the dancers flew, I furiously took pictures. After the dance I took this photo. |
