We The Corporations ...
October 12, 2016 -- Did you hear the news? They are thinking about changing the preamble to the U.S. Constitution from "We the People" to "We the Corporations".

Bad idea, right?

Truthfully, mega-corporations aren't that transparent -- instead of simply changing these few words, they are lobbying our elected representatives (with mega-$) to push through and pass a "free trade agreement" that would essentially do the same thing.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a sweeping trade proposal that could make our national, state and local protections and laws "illegal trade barriers".

They could call virtually ANYTHING an illegal trade barrier if it decreases their expected profits and gets in the way of them making money.

An example is our democratically passed Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) law -- Canada and Mexico (with the help of corporate livestock and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA)) challenged COOL as being an illegal trade barrier under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)...AND THEY WON. Because of NAFTA, the World Trade Organization and corporate collusion, we know longer have the right to know what country our meat comes from.

Under these kinds of corrupt "free trade" agreements, consumers can't even choose to support American family farmers!

And this is just one example of many.

The TPP would also undermine state and local laws, and would allow the biggest meatpackers on our planet to go around the world and buy the cheapest product anywhere and undercut and undermine prices paid to American family farmers, while obliterating consumer choice.

The list goes on and on ...

The TPP is wrong, un-American and un-democratic.

Tell her to stand with Missouri farmers and American Livestock Producers and to protect the U.S. Constitution. Tell here to vote No on the TPP.
